Welcome to an exploratory foundation in dance, where creative play sparks early choreographic expression! In Creative Movement, young dancers explore coordination, self-expression, teamwork, and movement invention through games, improvisation, and simple techniques like mirroring. Using props, music, masks, and one another, students will explore dance inspired by nature, animals, and the elements—discovering the choreographer and dancer within themselves!
Children's Modern Dance - Ages 7-12

Welcome to an exciting introduction to modern dance for young dancers! This class builds a strong foundation in technique while tapping into the roots of choreographic imagination. Students will explore concepts like suspension and release, fall and recovery, momentum, gravity, and breath through combinations, floor work, improvisation, partner work, and games. With a mix of technique and creative exploration, dancers will discover the body as a creative instrument and find new joy in self-expression. Modern Dance encourages artistry, play, discipline, and skills that transfer to theatre, academics, music, and beyond.
